Marquette – Communitywide auditions for the Northern Michigan University production of “Rent” will be held on Thursday, November 5 and Friday, November 6 at 7 p.m. in Forest Roberts Theatre.<p>In a new twist for an NMU show, there will be a final callback performance at 7 p.m. Saturday in the theater, where audience members will help decide who should be cast in the major roles. Admission is $5 to be part of the audience.
To audition, prepare a 60-90 second cutting from a song; rock or pop is preferred. An accompanist will be provided, or participants can bring their own. It is requested that no one sing with recorded voices or use the soundtrack from the play or movie.
