The Michigan High School Athletic Association held its boys varsity tennis Division I finals at Marquette Senior High School on May 28, 2008 in Marquette, Michigan. The Kingsford Flivvers were favored in the tournament with two very talented singles players in No. 1 seed Brian Tresedder and No. 2 seed Derek Harrington. The Flivvers also had a host of other talented players but the MSHS Redmen were able to hold their own and sweep the doubles competitions to tie the Flivvers at 16 for the Division I title.
