The Trenary Lions Club BMX track held its first BMX race on July 30, 2008 in Trenary, Michigan. Several North State BMX racers competed in the tracks first race ever. Trenary Lions BMX had about ten new members sign-up prior to its first race. Trenary Lions BMX is a member of the American Bicycling Association (ABA).
The track is located behind the baseball fields in downtown Trenary next to the community center.
The Trenary Lions Club began building the track in 2006 and was built under the direction of Roy Aho, one of the clubs members. “Anything we can do to enhance our community and provide another opportunity for our youths is a great thing. BMX is a perfect addition to the sports that we already offer in our area. We are ironing out some of the kinks now and will continue to improve the track as we learn more from some of the parental volunteers that run North State BMX in Marquette. They have been a great help in getting us going and teaching us how to run our track and we are very thankful.” said Trenary Lions Club member, Roy Aho.
Trenary Lions BMX plans on having a Grand Opening next year during their 4th of July celebration.
Trenary Lions BMX currently races twice a month on Wednesday's. To view the actual schedule, go to: www.northstatebmx.com
