The Marquette Senior High School Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshmen Volleyball Redettes and coaches had their team and individual photos taken on Monday, August 25, 2008 in the high school gymnasium.
Varsity Head Coach, Bob Wedin was very pleased with his teams performance this past weekend at the Kingsford Invitational. The Redettes placed fifth out of twelve teams. He stated that his six starters played exceptionally well and should do very well this year.
Senior outside hitter and middle blocker, Whitney Truscott should lead the team in kills, blocks and aces while senior setter, Katie Baker should lead the team in assists. Both girls are returning to the varsity squad for their third year. Senior middle blocker, Jessica Stonerock will provide much needed support in the middle.
The Redettes open their season at home on Thursday, August 28th at 7:15pm against the Westwood Patriots.
