The Northern Michigan University Wildcats womens soccer team lost to the Ferris State University Bulldogs behind the Superior Dome in Marquette, Michigan on Sunday, September 21, 2008.
The Bulldogs scored in the first two minutes of the game and it turns out to be the only goal of the game.
Several great missed opportunities for the Wildcat's offense led to the loss on Sunday. Shots were either wide, over the top crossbar or straight at the keeper. NMU defensewomen, Meghan Sarna made a couple of beautiful moves in the last thirty seconds of the game to give her a breakaway on FSU keeper, Becci Houdek but she couldn't get off a shot as FSU defensewomen, Jackie Back, made a brilliant diving slide from about five feet out to block the kick.
The NMU Wildcats return home for a match against Findlay on Friday, October 3, 2008.
