The Northern Michigan University womens soccer team shut out the Northwood University Timberwolves at the Superior Dome outdoor field in Marquette, Michigan on Sunday, October 19, 2008.
After the NMU seniors received their flowers, shook hands and hugged their parents, siblings and teammates, the girls prepared to play their final regular season home game.
The Wildcats were by far the superior team as the seniors put on a show for the many fans in attendance on the cloudy and cold fall day on the Cats home field behind the Superior Dome in Marquette Sunday. The Cats out muscled and out hustled the sometimes tired looking Timberwolves.
The Cats passed very well, were more aggressive in almost every position and scored on most opportunities. I thought the score could have easily been 5-0 if they connected on all of their scoring chances.
Senior Mid-Fielder, Brittany Buchanan had two goals and Senior Forward, Casey Wilcox had a goal in the game.
