The Marquette Rangers Junior A hockey team defeated the Motor City Machine, 6-3, at Lakeview Arena in Marquette, Michigan on Thursday, October 23, 2008 during the “Paint The Place Pink” cancer benefit game to raise money for the Marquette General Hospital Cancer Treatment Center.
The Marquette Rangers 2nd Annual “Paint The Place Pink” cancer benefit event was another huge success. Charter Communications and Hoovers Auto Body each donated $1,000 to the benefit and over $10,000 was raised during the jersey auction and also t-shirt sales. The jersey that brought the most money was Collin Saint-Onge's. It brought a high bid of $750.00.
The Rangers play again tonight at Lakeview Arena against the Motor City Machine. Game time is 7:30pm.
