The Northern Michigan University Wildcats womens volleyball team defeated the Michigan Tech Huskies in four sets to take the match at Vandament Arena in Marquette, Michigan on Friday, October 31, 2008.
Despite it being Halloween, several loyal fans took to the stands in the Vandament Arena to watch the NMU womens volleyball team beat the Michigan Tech Huskies in four sets.
Northern held a costume contest between the second and third game. Several fans in attendance wore costumes and one lucky baby that was dressed as a tiger won the contest.
The Cats' had a solid offensive and defensive match. Middle blocker, Caryn VanBeckum, had a great game with several blocks and kills. Outside hitter, Mandie Meyer, led the team in kills and defensive specialist (libero), Cassie Osiecki, led the team in aces and digs and setter, Rachel Green, led the team in assists.
