VIN Etching will be offered on September 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Marquette Branch of AAA at the Westwood Mall. Service Manager Karla Weaver explains that VIN etching is the permanent marking of a vehicle's identification number on the vehicle's glass in order to discourage theft. The etching process takes about ten minutes to complete and only affects the outermost layer of glass so it will in no way damage or weaken the glass. For more information, call 225-6750.
