Volunteers Lend a Hand at Habitat Build Site in Ishpeming

Ishpeming, MI  – On Friday, May 30, 2025, the build site at 4 Birch Lane, Ishpeming will be filled with activity as multiple volunteer teams step up to support Marquette County Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Volunteers from Huntington Bank Marquette and students from Marquette Alternative High School will each be working on-site throughout the day. Both groups will contribute their time and energy to the same important cause—helping construct a future home for a local family in need.

To show appreciation for the volunteers’ hard work, Texas Roadhouse will generously provide lunch at the site—a thoughtful gesture that underscores the community-wide support for Habitat’s efforts.

Throughout the day, volunteers will assist with a variety of construction tasks such as aluminum soffit, fascia, vinyl siding, and the last few areas of drywall installation. Their contributions help push the project closer to completion and offer hands-on support for affordable housing in
Marquette County.

“We’re grateful to both Huntington Bank and Marquette Alternative High School for dedicating their time to this build,” said Deanna Johnson, Executive Director. “Their shared commitment makes a real and lasting difference.”
