Planned Power outage in Negaunee: 4/30/25

negaunee-electric-department-power-outageThere will be a brief planned power outage in Negaunee on 4/30/25 from 3:00 AM to 6:00AM; The City of Negaunee Electrical Department will be transferring load to the new Irontown Substation as they retire the old substation. The city warns residents to expect a “brief” power outage as they transfer each circuit from the old substation to the new Iron Town Substation.

The Electrical Department at this time would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding as we transition from the old substation that has been in service since 1961 to the new Iron Town Substation. Please feel free to call the Electrical Department at 906-475-9991 if you have any questions, or explore the city website here.
