The Marquette City Planning Commission has approved a proposed plan for the first phase of redevelopment of the former Marquette General Hospital property. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the Planned Unit Development, or PUD, plan at their regular meeting last night on 3/18/2025. The hearing was part of the approval process of a plan by developer Veridea Group to build town homes that would create 40 housing units. The proposed units would be built on the site of the former MGH parking lots on the south side of West Magnetic Avenue. The PUD plan will now move forward to the Marquette City Commission for further review and consideration.
