Marquette, Mich. –
HarborFest Incoming: August 24th-26th!
Everyone loves this Marquette mainstay! If you don’t already know what HarborFest is, we’ll catch you up to speed. HarborFest is a three-day festival held in Marquette’s Mattson Park. It is a free festival to attend with local music, vendors, food, and brewskis. The festival outlines the yooper spirit of community. As the event’s host, The Marquette West Rotary Club uses any proceeds from wristbands and drinks to put towards the local community! So, as you drink your wine, your beer, or your seltzer, you can sip joyously as that goes into grants for local non-profits.
You can look forward to some excellent tunes this year, as we have the Detroit Rock City KISS Tribute Band as our HarborFest headliner on Saturday. Other artists and groups include The Marquette Symphony Orchestra Summer Strings, The NMU marching band, Iron Daisy, Uncle Ugly, Ratttrap (Ratt tribute band), Rock of Love (Poison tribute band), and more! Check out the Marquette West Rotary 2023 HarborFest Page for a full schedule of acts, a list of your favorite vendors, activities, and much much more! You can also prep up, and purchase your merch on the web store HERE.
Starting Thursday, grab your friends and family, and bring them down to HarborFest. Support a great cause and contribute to the amazing community and atmosphere that is HarborFest. Don’t forget! Admittance is FREE!
The first night of the 24th was a success! Many folks came out to Mattson Lower Harbor Park to enjoy the Marquette Symphony Orchestra Summer Strings. The music was lovely, the company was friendly, and the beer was cold. The sunset even struck as everyone began to leave:
