Marquette, Mich. – July 28th, 2023 –
We hope that you are berry excited, because it’s that time again! The Blueberry Festival of Marquette, MI will be popping off this Friday, July 28th,10am – 7pm. You know the deal, and if you don’t, remember, dress in blues!
Blueberry Festival is a Marquette favorite. The downtown area is blocked off for food vendors, artists, special events, pony rides and music galore. Washington Street is the main drag. Many of the local businesses located on the strip, participate in the fanaticism of blueberries. There is blueberry beer, lemonade, tattoos, face painting, jewelry, food and many other blueberry themed items. You can even get pounds of them from local vendors right there at the festival. However, all the real enthusiasts have their own secret blueberry patches. If you’re an expert blooby forager, you could potentially BYOB: Bring Your Own Blueberries.
Whether you gather your own berries, or pick some up at the festival, you’ll be channelling the tenacious spirit of the Marquette Blueberry Festival. The forecast says it will be some of the hottest temperatures yet this summer. Thank goodness for blueberry beer & lemonade, then! Good weather, mixed in with the new Marquette Downtown Social District, should prove to be a new level of fun and excitement for this incredible piece of Marquette culture.
