43rd Annual Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival This Weekend!

Marquette, Mich. —

Hiawatha Music Festival is coming in hot! The iconic festival will take place in its usual location, at the Tourist Park Campground from July 21st – July 23rd! Hiawatha is a celebration of traditional musical styles like bluegrass, old-timey, cajun, celtic, blues, folk, and some signer/songwriters. This is a trademark music festival of the U.P., drawing people in from far and wide in MI, and surrounding states. Over these three days, famous and local musicians will perform classic styles. Workshops for teaching song and dance will be held for anyone to attend. There are even jam sessions to join in on, so don’t forget the fiddle at home.

The gates open on July 21st at 1pm to the opening ceremony drum circle at 6pm, known fondly as “Thunderation”. Following that will be the “Get Acquainted” Dance! The performers, and what stage they’ll be playing, is listed below.
