The Ishpeming Rock and Mineral Club will be hosting its 47th Annual Gem and Mineral Show on Saturday, August 5 at the Ishpeming Elks Lodge. The largest one-day gem and mineral show in the Midwest is free to attend from 9:30am to 4:30pm with hourly door prizes on Saturday. Dealers from around the Great Lakes will be in attendance with gem and mineral specimens, jewelry and other gem gift items. Children can enjoy digging for treasure in sand and finding the clues in our scavenger hunt. The evening Crackerbarrel runs from 7pm-9pm featuring a guest speaker and a live auction of unique rock and mineral specimens. Associated with the show is a series of field trips: Republic Mine on Friday, August 4 and Lindberg Quarry on Sunday August 6.
