Marquette, Mich. – The United Way of Marquette County invites you to Blackrocks Brewery
(3rd Street in Marquette) on the 18th of July at 6pm for the launch of the Yoopers United Hockey
team that will face off against the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association game on Sept. 17th. The
event will be a chance to meet the members of the team and learn more about fundraisers and
events taking place throughout the summer in support of the United Way and this event.
Members of the media are invited to broadcast live or record on location and have the opportunity
to take pictures with and interview members of the team at the event.
Members of the United Way and the Yoopers United team will be available for live Interviews on
a first come first serve basis. Please register your interview requests with Andrew Rickauer of the
United Way at arickauer@uwmqt.org.
Blackrocks will have cold drinks available for purchase and Door Prizes will be available for those
who register at the door on the day.
Come be a part of the excitement that is the United Way’s Detroit Red Wings Alumni
Association Game. This event will be a great way to meet the players and learn more about the
team and hockey event coming to Marquette
