Escanaba – Kids Day at the Animal Shelter will be held on Saturday, June 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kennel Club's Training Center next to the Delta County Animal Shelter in Escanaba.
The event is open to all ages 5 and up. Activities will include making pupsicles for dogs, and kitty forts and scratching posts for cats. These items help reduce some of the animal shelter residents' stress while they are waiting for their new families.
There will be a tour of the animal shelter and information on animal care.
Bring an item for the Shelter, such as cat food, litter, toys or cleaning supplies. Put your name on it and enter into the prize drawing.
