NEA Big Read: Harmonies and Harjo
Saturday, November 6, 2021. 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room. Teens, Family, Adults, Seniors. Faculty and students of Northern Michigan University’s Department of Music provide a concert of music that reflects Joy Harjo’s poetry in An American Sunrise. Local poets and community members share the stage with the musicians, reading Harjo’s inspiring words. Masks required at indoor programs, regardless of vaccination status.
