The YMCA of Marquette County is inviting skateboarders ages six and up to compete in the YMCA Skateboard Competition on Saturday, August 20 at 5 p.m. at the Skate Park adjacent to the YMCA facility next to Lakeview Arena on Fair Ave. in Marquette. Registration for the event is $5. The YMCA believes in providing membership and program services to all those who desire to participate regardless of their ability to pay. There is no cost for spectators. A “Bad Weather Day” is scheduled for Sunday, August 21 at 5 p.m. For more information, call (906) 227-9622.
