NMU Hosts Virtual ‘North x North Coast’ Festival November 17, 22 2020

Northern Michigan University Theatre and Dance is presenting its newly branded and re-imagined Fringe Festival titled “North x North Coast.” The virtual arts and culture festival will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17-Sunday, Nov. 22. In addition to theater and dance performances, it will feature vocal and instrumental music, short films, 3D animation and art.

NMU students and faculty will be involved in this in this inaugural event. Below is the festival lineup in alphabetical order:

The COVID Chronicles: A Compilation of Monologues and Short Scenes
Directed by Shelley Russell and performed by the students TH 132 – Acting I

Half Way to Foolish: A Dance Piece to the song Hocus Pocus by Focus

Hands are Knockin’: Song composed by Kyle Pederson

Tickets are $17 for the general public, $12 for NMU faculty and staff, seniors and military and $5 for NMU students. They can be purchased online at tickets.nmu.edu, via email at tickets@nmu.edu, over the phone at 906-227-1032 or at the Berry Events Ticket Office from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday by appointment only.

A link to the virtual performance will be emailed to ticket holders. A ticket grants access to the entirety of the festival during the dates listed above.
