Marquette, Michigan – It appears we are in for another round of snow similar to what the area received this past Wednesday. This storm seems to be more widespread; Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota are predicted to receive heavy snow with strong winds that will make travel very difficult. As faculty, staff and students travel back to the area we wanted to provide you with the latest information so travel plans may be adjusted accordingly for a safe return.
If your travel requires you to cross the Mackinac Bridge, please pay attention to the status of the bridge. With the prediction of high winds, this may impact the opening/closing of the bridge.
For those of you who live in the Residence Halls, we will be opening them at 6:00pm today, Friday November 29, 2019.

Another winter storm will impact the Great Lakes region this weekend. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for most of the U.P. for heavy snow Saturday night into Sunday. There will be a sharp cutoff in snow amounts along the north side of the area of snow. A small shift in the track of the storm will make a big difference in snow amounts, especially for the counties bordering Lake Superior. Those with travel plans on Saturday night and Sunday should pay close attention to the forecast and if possible adjust travel plans accordingly.
