City of Negaunee Closes Section of Iron St.

Negaunee, MI – At the June 13th 2019 City Council Meeting for the City of Negaunee, the City Council passed a motion that subsequently will close Iron St directly in front of the Kirkwood block due to structural instability that threatens the safety of the general public.

This closure will be effective immediately and will include the North sidewalk, North Parking area and the North Traffic Lane. The City and its staff are following all proper procedures to ensure the Kirkwood building will be no longer be a threat to the safety of the public in a timely manner.
