Borderland Arts and Marquette Poets Circle Present Interactive Display June 1st

Marquette, MIWords & Music Borderland Arts Meets Marquette Poets Circle an Interactive Display will exhibit art by Borderland Arts of Iron Mountain and poetry by the Marquette Poets Circle from June 1st to July 26th in the Huron Mountain Club Gallery of Peter White Public Library in Marquette. Artists and poets were challenged to create on the theme: music that inspires us. QR codes and sound modules allow gallery visitors to hear the music and learn more about the artists and authors. This project is dedicated to Genean Granger. Genean invented the collaboration of U.P. poets and artists with Melisse Carr, Stella Hansen and the Borderland Arts group. Borderland Arts is a not-for-profit organization established to promote the creative arts, enrich the cultural fabric of the Michigan/Wisconsin borderland communities, and build mutually beneficial relationships with similar groups elsewhere. The Marquette Poets Circle welcomes poets of all ages and experience level. They meet on the first Monday in the month as part of the Center for the Healing Arts at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
