Woodland Sky Dance Company Performs at NMU

Marquette, MI – The Woodland Sky Native American Dance Company will perform at Northern Michigan University’s Forest Roberts Theatre on Friday, March 15. An educational performance for school classrooms, home-school groups and other educational organizations is scheduled for 11 am. A public performance will be held at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the evening event are $5 and there will be a meet and greet in the lobby of FRT following the performance.

Woodland Sky is made up of award-winning singers and dancers who span multiple generations, making their performance a family-friendly event. Singers and dancers in Woodland Sky proudly represent the following tribal nations: Ojibwe, Menominee, Potawatomi, Lakota and Apache.

Woodland Sky’s visit to NMU is made possible by the NMU Center for Native American Studies, the NMU Beaumier Heritage Center, and the Forest Roberts Theater with additional support from the City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center, and Travel Marquette.
