Marquette County Supports ORV Bill

The Marquette County Board has gone on the record, supporting legislation which would allow them – rather than the state government – to decide whether to allow Off Road Vehicles (ORV) on county roads.House Bill 4323, sponsored by Rep. Joel Sheltrown, (D) Howell, passed the state House unanimously. However the state Senate has yet to get the bill out on the floor for a vote. Sheltrown, who chairs the House Committee on Tourism, Outdoor Recreation and Natural Resources, says the DNR is also opposing the legislation.
