The Houghton Post Office will team up with the Blue Key Honor Society on Saturday, February 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to offer Winter Carnival visitors the opportunity to apply for a passport. Proof of American citizenship is required. Certified birth certificates, previous passports, certificates of citizenship and naturalization certificates will be accepted. Fees of $82 for those under 16 and $97 for those over 15. No credit cards accepted. The temporary passport assistance office will be in the Peninsula Room of the Memorial Union Building at MTU.
