A spaghetti dinner benefit for Karlie Rae Hillier will be held on Saturday, January 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 414 East Ridge Street in Ishpeming. Karlie was born with a birth defect of the heart, which required two surgeries right after birth and will require two more proceedures to keep her healthy enough for a heart transplant when she is older. The cost of the dinner is a donation and proceeds will go to the Hillier family for their many expenses as they travel to Ann Arbor for these surgeries.
