Marquette – In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day on April 21, the Peter White Public Library is hosting the traveling exhibit “Dr. Seuss Wants You!” through April in the Huron Mountain Club Gallery.
There will be a public reception on Wednesday, April 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. The thought provoking exhibit shows a little known aspect of Dr. Seuss, whose real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel.
The 14-panel display was created by the Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education and Thomas More College honors students. Typical Dr. Seuss characters teach about the courage to care and to act and are full of life lessons for all ages.
This exhibit is sponsored by Temple Beth Sholom and Northern Michigan University Hillel and is open during regular library hours.
