The Marquette County Health Department, Continuum of Care Program, will be hosting a World AIDS Day Event on Friday, December 1 beginning at 5 p.m. They will meet to decorate a tree at the Peter White Public Library on Front Street in Marquette. Please join in the decorating in honor of World AIDS Day 2006. “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise” is the theme this year. The tree will be part of the library's Winter Wonderland Walk. Red ribbons or red ornaments bearing the names of loved ones whose lives have been lost to AIDS will be placed on the tree. Feel free to bring your own special ornament.
