Marquette – Kim Phuc, the “Girl in the Picture,” will be at NMU's Great Lakes Rooms on Wednesday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m.
This Pulitzer prize-winning photo was taken in 1972 when the Americans and the South Vietnamese Air Force dropped napalm bombs on her village. Nine-year-old Phuc fled and was badly burned. She now dedicates her time to helping others heal from the wounds of war.
Admission is free for NMU students with an NMU ID and $2 for the general public. Tickets will be available at the door.
