The film, “Rhopal: The Search for Justice” will be shown on Tuesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library. The film tells the story of a Union Carbide Plant in Bhopal, India that leaked poisonous gas, killing at least 15,000 people and permanently maiming hundreds of thousands more. A discussion will follow the film. No admission will be charged: the film is part of the “Global Issues/Human Geographies Film Series” co-sponsored by the library and the NMU geography department.
