The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will sponsor a free presentation on copper mining in the Upper Peninsula. The event will be on Monday, March 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library. Local author Fred Rydholm will discuss theories about copper trade routes in the Bronze Age and navigational tools in use before Christopher Columbus came to America. Advance registraion is requested by Friday, March 16 by calling 249-3640.
