The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will sponsor a free presentation on copper mining in the Upper Peninsula on Monday, March 18 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library. Local author Fred Rydholm will discuss theories abour copper trade routes in the Bronze Age and navigation tools in use before Christopher Columbus came to America.
