Marquette, Mi.– There will be an Antique Appraisal Fair at the Peter White Public Library in the Shiras Room Thursday, May 24, from 5:00- 8:00 p.m. and Friday, May 25, from 1:00- 4:00 p.m.
How much is your old lamp worth… or your childhood doll for that matter? Come get it appraised at the Antique Appraisal Fair! Categories of objects that can be appraised include:
- fine art
- furniture
- ceramics
- glassware
- vintage photographs
- advertising
- folk art
- metalware
- toys
- costume jewelry
- clocks
- books
- sporting memorabilia
- musical instruments
Excluded items: all weapons, including swords/knives (folding knives with advertising are accepted); traps (no leg-holds); Nazi memorabilia, coins and paper money; fine jewelry, including precious gems; and Beanie Babies.
Items will be appraised by Mark F. Moran, an antique expert, and author. He is a contributing editor for Antique Trader magazine and the author of over 25 books. He has been a buyer, seller, and appraiser of antiques and fine art for over 20 years. He has also served as a guest expert on the PBS series, Antiques Roadshow.
