The annual Church Women United observance of World Day of Prayer has been rescheduled for Friday, March 9 at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church at the corner of Front and Ridge Streets in Marquette. This year's prayer service has been written by women of Paraguay. Offerings are used to give aid to women and children around the world and in the greater Marquette community. Those affected by HIV and AIDS, and those abused, displaced, and abandoned will be supported.
