The 6th Annual U.P. Law Ride to benefit the Thin Blue Line of Michigan will be held on Saturday, August 11. The ride will start at Bald Eagle Harley Davidson after registration and a small ceremony. At approximately 9 a.m. several uniformed law enforcement officers will escort 150 motorcyclists west to Houghton for lunch, then on to Copper Harbor and through the Keweenaw and back to Houghton for dinner. Anybody traveling in those areas are asked to be aware of the procession of motorcycles stretching over a mile long. For more information, call Gordon Warchock at 228-0400.
