Marquette, Mi.– NMU’s College of Business will host an Iron Mountain Career Panel Luncheon for NMU Students, from any major, in the Brule Room of NMU’s University Center this Thursday, April 19, from 12:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m.
The event includes a free lunch and a discussion of career opportunities while business owners from Iron Mountain are present. “…Iron Mountain area is the hottest economic area in the U.P., with more than 600 current job openings for all industries,” said David Tayome, dean of NMU’s College of Business.
Guest panelists include Tom Andes of the Thomas Theatre Group; Raphael Bennett of Neustep; Erik Kleiman of Kleiman Pump and Well Drilling; Jesse Land of Upper Peninsula Machine and Engineering; Carol Quandt of 41 Lumber; David Brisson of Great American Disposal; and Lois Ellis of Dickinson Area Economic Development Alliance. Panelists will be available after the luncheon is over to meet with those interested in working in the area or unable to attend the luncheon due to class scheduling.
