“Keweenaw Foodways” July 14

Michigan Tech historian, Larry Lankton, will share stories on “Keweenaw Foodways” on Saturday, July 14 at 3 p.m. at the Keweenaw Heritage Center in Calumet. He will talk about the procurement of a steady food supply in the 1850&#39s and 1860&#39s and how crucial it was for the success of the mining settlements and the survival of local residents.
