Newberry, Mich.– 04/17/2018- UPCAP/U.P. Area Agency on Aging will be offering an 8 week Matter of Balance class on Tuesdays from 1:00- 3:00 p.m. beginning on April 17th and ending June 5th, 2018. The class will be held at the Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac Community Action Agency Senior Center, 207 Newberry Avenue, Newberry Mi.
A Matter of Balance is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. Participants learn to set realistic goals to increase activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors, and learn simple exercises to increase strength and balance.
