An opening reception for artist Yin Mei will be held on Friday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m. Yin Mei will perform in the DeVos Art Museum at NMU in Marquette. “three thousand: YIN MEI” is a performance and exhibition inspired by Chinese-American dancer Yin Mei and her family lineage, the Yin dynasty. During the performance, she will dip herself in ink and use her body as the calligraphy brush as she dances her message on a long scroll of paper. A photo and video documentation of past performances will be exhibited through November 19.
