Michigan State University Extension is offering training for child care providers, foster parent and any other interested persons at the Little Friends Children's Center,1025 Maas Street in Negaunee. The 36 hour program offers the basic components for caring for children in th earea of child development, positive disciplines, health and safety, play and early learning, nutrition, business basics, child abuse and neglect, and CPR training. Training will be offered on October 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on October 6, 7, 13, and 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Register for a portion or all 6 days. CPR will be free for those who complete the entire course. Those who enroll for CPR only will be charged $25. Snacks will be provided.
