“Convictions” Film Showing Oct. 1

Carol Gilbert and Ardeth Platte, Dominican Sisters and former Marquette residents will show the film, “Convictions,” and share reflections on the nuclear arms race on Monday, October 1 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette. Gilbert and Platte were imprisoned because of their non-violent action in 2002 at a Colorado missile site. They have completed several years in federal prisons. Admission is free. This event is sponsored by Marquette Citizens for Peace and Justice.
