The Central Upper Peninsula Chapter of the Sierra Club will meet Sunday, Septenber 23 to measure water quality at various locations on the Yellow Dog Plains. Meet at 10 a.m. at the Huron Mountain Realty in Big Bay for a full day of activities; bring a lunch. The group measures pH, dissolved oxygen and conductivity, estimates clarity and stream flow, checks out the water bugs and rates the immediate area. For information, call Dave Allen at 228-9453.
