A Department of Environmental Equality Public Hearing will be held on Monday, September 10 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and from 6 to 9:30 p.m. in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center at NMU in Marquette. The focus will be on the Kennecott Eagle Project Permit Application. This is an opportunity for citizens to voice their support and/or concerns for Kennecott's proposed mine on the Yellow Dog Plains, northwest of Marquette, near Big Bay.
