IRON MOUNTAIN – Veterans and their families are invited to a Veteran Town Hall in Iron Mountain, Michigan at 5 p .m. (CST) on Thursday, February 8, 2018. The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center will host the Town Hall at American Legion Post 50 located at 916 River Avenue in Iron Mountain. It is open to all Veterans, their families and friends.
“We encourage anyone that is a Veteran or family of a Veteran who may not be using VA services to come and learn more about VA health care and how it could benefit them,” said Brad Nelson, Public Affairs Officer at the Iron Mountain-based VA Medical Center.
Leaders from the VA Medical Center, Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, and area County Veteran Service Officers will be on hand to provide a presentation on VA health care, discuss initiatives to increase access to VA care, answer questions, and listen to Veterans’ comments and concerns.
“In the last six years we have done sixty-five Veteran Town Halls across the UP and northern Wisconsin and have found them to very worthwhile in understanding our Veterans’ concerns and helping them resolve any issues they may have,” said Nelson.
Any questions can be directed to VA Public Affairs Officer Brad Nelson at 1-906-774-3300, extension 32001.
