Marquette – Fringe Festival 2018 will feature “The Valentine Fairy” and “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged” as well as “Antigone” Thursday, February 8 through Saturday, February 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Forest Roberts Theatre at Northern Michigan University.
“The Valentine Fairy” is an anti-romance in which a woman who’s decided to give up on love arrives home to find a man in a white tutu, who shows where she went wrong in previous romantic encounters. “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged” is an irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s plays. “Antigone” is an adaptation of Sophocles by a student Lundin Honors Research Fellow.
The Opening Night Party is included with a ticket purchased for opening night, Thursday, February 8. This is an exclusive red-carpet post-show gala features food and beverage, music, a photo booth, and a meet and greet with the cast and creative team! All Theatre majors and minors are invited to attend free of charge!
