The Marquette Choral Society begins rehearsals of Handel's “Messiah” on Monday, January 14 at 7 p.m. in the choral room of the Thomas Fine Arts Building at NMU. All those interested in singing with the group are invited to attend. New members may join through the third rehearsal on January 28. No audition is necessary. Nominal dues and the amount for music purchase will be collected during these first three rehearsals. The Choral Society will use the Novello edition by Watkins Shaw at a cost of approximately $25. The Spring concerts are scheduled for Saturday evening, April 26 and Sunday afternoon, April 27 at the Reynolds Recital Hall on the NMU campus. The Marquette Choral Society is under the direction of Dr. Floyd Slotterback.
