The Newberry United Methodist Church invites the public to a mystery dinner theater with performances on Saturday December 29 at 6 p.m. and Monday (New Year's Eve) December 31 at 6 p.m. at the Pentland Township Hall on Highway M-28, 1.7 miles west of the M-28/M-123 Intersection in Luce County. Guests will be treated to a play, “Signing Off at WWPP,” and a four-course lasagna dinner. The play concerns a fateful recording session of a wacky 1950's radio soap opera where mounting tensions eventually give way to murder. The audience is then invited to interrogate the suspects (the cast) and help determine “whodunit” and why. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for those ages 12 and under, and may be obtained by contacting the church at 110 W. Harrie St. in Newberry or by phone at 906-293-5711. Proceeds will be used to fund church programs benefiting people in need in the local area served by the Newberry United Methodist Church. For more information, call 477-6254 or 293-5711.
