In conjunction with the holiday season, the Marquette General Hospital Volunteers invite the community to join them in their second annual “Lights of Love” tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 13 at the corner of College Avenue and 7th Street in Marquette. Refreshments will be served following the program. This inaugural fund-raising event will provide an opportunity to honor and remember family, friends, and loved ones by placing a light on a living tree. A donation of $5 or more for each name reserves a light to memorialize a loved one, honor a relative or friend, or celebrate a birth. Names will be displayed in the Neldberg Lobby during the holiday season and placed in a permanent memory book. Lights will continue to shine throughout the month of December. Deadline for memory book entries is December 10. Your entire gift to the MGH Volunteers Lights of Love program will benefit Volunteer projects such as the Hospitality Program, Wig Salon, Health Information Center, Beacon House and equipment for nursing units. To purchase a light, brochures are available at the MGH Gift Shop or by calling the Volunteer Office at 225-3280 or 1-800-562-9753, ext. 3280.
